Are there any prerequisites?
For General Sessions there are no pre-requisites.
For Technical Sessions, to complete this training course successfully and gain the maximum benefits from it, an attendee should have the following knowledge and skill sets:
- A strong quantitative background with a solid understanding of basic statistics, as would be found in a statistics 101 level course.
- Experience with a scripting language, such as Java, Perl, or Python (or R). Some of the lab examples taught in the training course use R (with an RStudio GUI), which is an open source statistical tool and programming language.
- Experience with SQL (some course examples use PSQL).
How long is the boot camp?
2-day in-person, hands-on learning. 8 hours a day from 8:30am – 6:00pm.

Where can I find a detailed course outline?
The AGENDA for events will be announced four (4) weeks prior to the event as standard.
What is the price?
Tickets are USD$300 for professionals students and $130 for students for the 2-day intensive training program. Various discounts may apply depending on when you register and the number of registrations sought.
What is included in the price?
Any required course material, which can include: Sports Data notes, a training camp course handbook, software/subscriptions for cloud resources, hardware, post boot camp mentoring.

Meals: lunch, refreshments and snacks are generally included.
Do you offer any financial assistance?
Yes. We offer a few Scholarships for university students and non-for-profit professionals for each Australian Sports Data Global Training Camp. Various group discounts are also available; please email John R Persico to enquire.
